Privacy Policy for Dot Dot
Effective date: 23 October 2026 Developer: Filter Coffee Labs ("we", "us", "our") App: Dot Dot for Android ("the app") Contact: [your email address]
This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. In short: Dot Dot has no accounts, we do not collect your personal information ourselves, and the only data that leaves your device goes through the ads shown in the app.
1. Information stored on your device
To work properly, the app saves a few things locally on your phone:
-
Player names and colours you enter on the setup screen
-
Your sound and haptics preference
-
Your daily puzzle result and win streak
-
A small record of recent results against the computer, used to adjust the computer's difficulty
This information stays on your device. We do not receive it, and we cannot see it. It is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect, store or sell personal information. The app does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, contact details or payment details. The app does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner and interstitial (full-screen) ads provided by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and use information from your device, such as:
-
Advertising ID
-
IP address and approximate location derived from it
-
Device and app information (model, operating system version, app version)
-
Ad interaction and diagnostic data (for example, ads shown, clicks, crashes and performance)
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies, not by us. You can read how Google uses data from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and the AdMob policies at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
Your choices. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on your device). If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you. Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads are shown.
4. Network access and links
The app needs an internet connection only to load ads. The game itself works offline. The Feedback item in the menu opens our website (filtercoffeelabs.com) in your phone's browser. Once you are on that site, its own privacy practices apply.
5. Vibration
The app uses your phone's vibration motor for short haptic feedback during play. This is only a local effect, and you can turn it off with the "Sound & haptics" switch in the menu.
6. Children's privacy
Dot Dot is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at the address above and we will help.
7. Data security
Because we do not collect your personal information, we hold none to secure on our side. Data saved on your device is protected by your device's own security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data, such as access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing. Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to provide or delete. For data processed by Google through ads, you can use Google's tools at https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy to manage it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add features or change ad providers. The updated version will be posted at the same web address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
